Nexus
A scaling framework from Scrum.org that extends Scrum for three to nine Scrum Teams working on one Product Backlog, adding a Nexus Integration Team.
What it means
Nexus is maintained by Scrum.org, the same organization behind the Scrum Guide, and is designed to be a minimal extension of Scrum rather than a separate methodology.
It introduces the Nexus Integration Team, accountable for ensuring an integrated Increment is produced across all participating Scrum Teams every Sprint, and adds Nexus-level versions of Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, and Sprint Review.
Common mistakes
Because Nexus stays close to core Scrum vocabulary and events, organizations already comfortable with single-team Scrum often find it a lighter-weight scaling option than SAFe.
Example
Five Scrum Teams building one e-commerce platform use Nexus to integrate their work into a single Increment every Sprint.
